What is Aquascaping?
Aquascape hobby is also known as gardening underwater, through designing and arranging aquarium with different like of materials, such as live plants, rock, wood or substrate. It helps in creating a scenery where fishkeeping is more than just keeping fish but an apple of the eye.

Different Styles of Aquascape Design
The four major types of aquascaping styles, namely Dutch, Iwagumi, Nature and Jungle style. Below is a short description of these four main styles.
(A) Dutch Style
The main focus is placed on the height, colours and textures of a wide variety of aquatic plants to create a colorful view. While it focuses on the growth and arrangement of plants, the use of carbon dioxide (CO2)* is necessary to achieve optimum growth of the aquatic plants.

(B) Iwagumi Style
Iwagumi is all about calmness and a zen feeling, developed by Takashi Amano, a famous aquarist. The design mainly consists of rocks and carpet plant as a base.

(C) Nature Style
Nature Aquarium style aims to create a scape that resembles a landscape or image from the natural world. Most common Nature Aquarium aquascapes depict underwater versions of rainforests, mountains, hillsides, beaches or valleys that reflects scenery around us.

(D) Jungle Style
Jungle style aquascapes usually have little or no visible hardscape material, as well as limited open space. This type of aquarium does not require everyday plant trimming. The plants are actually left to assume a natural look rather than a contrived one. This style is very popular in Indonesia, where the aquarists are able to create a very complicated and detailed look within the aquarium with their skills.
