Did you know there are many types of Channa fish?
What is Channa?
Channa is a type of predatory fish, also commonly known as snakeheads. It can be found in freshwater habitats in Asia from Iraq to Indonesia, China, Myanmar and northeastern India.
Most snakeheads are predatory and aggressive, and the diets of the various species of Channa include fish, invertebrates (insects such as mealworm or cricket) and pellet (if trained). They have a labyrinth organ, which allows them to breathe air directly so its possible to keep them without extra oxygen using air pump. While some may live in small groups, it is best to keep them separately. This is because Channa are aggressive and they tend to fight.
